A: Since you are switching to a Buffet R-13, I second using Vandoren V-12 reeds.
They are slightly more expensive than regular Vandorens.

A: Miserably, the Buffet B12 is a student model clarinet. It is made of plastic (ABS resin)... and even though it is a good clarinet, you won't get much for it.
